I am a Texan and damned proud of it. Born and bred right here on this proud soil.

I am a student at TCC Souteast, working towards a degree in Marine Biology. Everyone always asks "Why do you want to be a marine biologist? What can you do with that?" I can come up with a lot of witting responses but they all come across as being defensive and bitch and I'm entirely too shy to make a retort. I plan to specialize in echinoderms because I find them completely fascinating. It gives me tingly goosebumps to watch them.

I never make pretenses about who I am, what I enjoy, what I want. I am often called a "sweet" girl, but I do lean towards a fascination with darker aspects of life. That doesn't mean I dye my hair black and try to fit into a subculture I don't belong in, or pretend that life is such a tragic waste. I am generally cheerful and friendly, but get on my bad side and my Texan comes out. ;) I enjoy using smilies often. I am not looking for a relationship, so don't mistake my friendliness for flirting; I am very happily involved with the love of my life.

Tattoos/piercings [ not because it makes me "cool" or they are "popular", or I'm some kind of pain freak, I actually enjoy the artwork ]

Horror movies [ the gorier the better, but leave the comedy out. I will watch about anything in the genre. Remakes, originals, big budget, indie, I crave more! ]

Caffeine [ don't even look at me until I've had my morning Pepsi ]

Lance Henrikson [ he is truly an under appreciated god in his profession ]

Television [ Law and Order, any crime drama, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, etc. As long as I don't have to watch it on a weekly bass, that's too much commitment ]

Music [ NiN, Cell Dweller, Static X, Trapt, 10 Years, Breaking Benjamin, Massive Attack, Royksopp, etc etc etc ]

Crafts [ anyone need a new necklace? ]

Art [ I like fantasy, horror, dark renderings, nature, etc ]

Games [ for the Horde!, M:tG, DnD ]

Porn [ hey, at least I admit it! ]
